After enjoying a successful three-week run in theatres, Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin is all set to make its digital debut. The action drama marked a much-needed comeback for the actor after a three-year gap following Agent. While his previous outing struggled at the box office, Lenin turned things around with a strong theatrical performance, becoming one of the biggest successes of his career. Lenin Plot
Set in the fictional town of Sriramapuram during the grand 18-day Bharatam Metta festival, Lenin draws inspiration from the Mahabharata while telling a story of love, betrayal, revenge, and redemption.
Akhil Akkineni plays Lenin, an orphan adopted by the respected Jayanthi, who grows up alongside her son, Vasanth. After serving time in prison, Lenin recounts the events that changed his life to a young boy named Dilli before setting out to confront those who betrayed him.
The story flashes back to Lenin’s romance with Bharathi, a relationship that sparks a bitter rivalry involving powerful MLA Raghava Reddy, his loyal aides, and Yatirajulu, Jayanthi’s ambitious stepbrother. As political conspiracies and personal vendettas collide, tragedy strikes when Bharathi’s sister Vaidehi is murdered, triggering a chain of life-altering events.
When Bharathi chooses Lenin over Vasanth and marries him, hidden jealousy and betrayal begin to surface. Vasanth secretly joins forces with Lenin’s enemies, leading to a devastating confrontation in which a partially blinded Lenin is manipulated into killing Bharathi. Wrongfully imprisoned for her murder, Lenin spends years carrying the weight of guilt before returning with one goal: to take revenge on everyone who destroyed his life.
