What Is Akka About?
Set in the 1980s, Akka takes viewers into a kingdom ruled by generations of women who have protected their territory and upheld its traditions. However, their world is far from peaceful, with rivalries and struggles for power threatening to change everything.
At the core of the story is Bhavani and Rudra and their struggle with loyalty, power and the long-standing conflict between them. The teaser is short and doesn’t reveal too much about the story. But it does give you a glimpse into the core conflict and the characters are still mostly a mystery.
This crime saga is different from most other productions of the genre. For one, it is set in a female dominated world of crime and power. We follow the traditions, the rivalries and even the conflicts between the women who rule over the kingdom of Akka.
