Jailer 2 Hindi Release Date Confirmed
The makers have clarified that the Hindi version of Jailer 2 will release on the same date as the other language versions as originally planned. The announcement comes after reports created confusion around the film’s Hindi release.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, the action entertainer is set for a multi-language theatrical release on Thursday, October 15. With the Hindi trailer now out and bookings underway the film is gearing up for its big-screen arrival across India.

Jailer 2 Advance Booking: Worldwide Pre-Sales Cross Rs 22 Crore
The early box office numbers are already attracting attention. According to figures reported, Jailer 2 has collected around Rs 22.05 crore gross worldwide in advance bookings across three show dates. The figure reportedly drops to Rs 19.62 crore after excluding block seats.
Thursday’s opening-day advance sales account for approximately Rs 14.13 crore gross. Overseas bookings have also been strong with the film reportedly approaching the Rs 30 crore mark in worldwide opening-day pre-sales.
These numbers point to considerable interest ahead of release but advance bookings are only one part of the box office picture. Walk-in audiences and ticket sales over the remaining days will also play a role in determining the film’s final opening.
Tamil Nadu Leads Jailer 2 Advance Booking
Tamil Nadu is currently the biggest contributor to domestic pre-sales according to the reported figures. The state has recorded around Rs 7.78 crore gross, or Rs 6.90 crore after excluding block seats.
Kerala follows with Rs 3.36 crore gross, while Karnataka has recorded approximately Rs 1.87 crore. Telangana has contributed around Rs 89.62 lakh. Among individual cities, Chennai leads with reported advance bookings of Rs 3.72 crore.
The figures underline Rajinikanth’s strong pull in his home market, while the numbers from Kerala and Karnataka show that the film is attracting attention beyond Tamil Nadu as well.
Rajinikanth Reunites With Nelson And Anirudh
Jailer 2 brings Rajinikanth back together with director Nelson Dilipkumar and composer Anirudh Ravichander, the team behind the first film. The sequel also features an impressive lineup of names, including Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, S. J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vidya Balan.
That combination of star power, action and music has helped build anticipation for the sequel. The challenge now is to convert that pre-release excitement into strong footfalls once the film opens.
