Tamil action thriller Blast has emerged as one of the biggest Kollywood success stories of the year. Released in theatres on May 28, the film is now enjoying a strong third-week run and continues to draw audiences to cinemas. What is Blast About?
The story revolves around Rajaraman, played by Arjun Sarja, a karate instructor who has spent years teaching his daughter not only self-defence but also the importance of standing up for those who cannot fight for themselves.
His wife Neelaveni, portrayed by Abhirami, was once a talented karate champion herself. While she now focuses on her family, she often worries about the fearless attitude her husband has encouraged in their daughter, Nila.
Nila, played by Preity Mukhundhan, grows up with a strong sense of justice. Whether confronting chain snatchers or standing up to abusive individuals, she never hesitates to take action. Her courage eventually puts the family on a collision course with powerful mining tycoon Varun, his ruthless associate Abraham, and local gang leader Kirubakaran.
As tensions rise, the family finds itself caught in a dangerous battle against influential enemies, setting the stage for a gripping action thriller.
