The jungle drums are beating again – and for the last time. Sony Pictures has officially announced Jumanji 3, the final chapter in the blockbuster reboot franchise starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black. With the script now finalized and production officially underway, fans are gearing up for an emotional, action-packed farewell to one of the most beloved modern adventure sagas.

Returning to direct is Jake Kasdan, who also co-writes the film alongside Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg – the brilliant team that revived the spirit of the original 1995 classic led by the legendary Robin Williams. While the first Jumanji remains cherished as a timeless adventure, this reboot series reinvented the game – literally – transforming it into a high-energy, comedic, character driven franchise for a new generation.

Now, the journey is coming to an end.
“‘JUMANJI 3’ will be the final film in the franchise. Feels emotionally appropriate for our beloved ‘Jumanji‘ franchise to end on this beautiful grace note of our final film,” says Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who has been the heart of the series since it’s rebirth. His words hint at a story with more emotions, nostalgia and character depth than ever before.
Details about the plot are tightly under wraps, but early buzz suggests that the stakes will be higher, the world bigger and the game more dangerous than anything we’ve seen before. With the OG game avatars returning – Dr. Bravestone, Mouse Finbar, Ruby Roundhouse and Professor Oberon – fans can expect explosive chemistry, chaotic humour and all the world-bending madness that defines Jumanji.
Mark your calendars – Jumanji 3 releases Christmas 2026, promising a spectacular, heartfelt conclusion.
This Christmas, the game end. And one last time we say – “…in order for you to end the game, you must save JUMANJI and call out it’s name”
