The Vvaan is a mystery thriller that mixes folklore, faith and supernatural elements. The Vvaan connects a legend with a present‑day family and the Vvaan takes viewers into the mysterious world of Devanchal.
The film moves between the past and present. It begins in 7th-century Devanchal, where people are forbidden from entering the forest after sunset. The belief is connected to Van Devi, a mysterious force regarded as the protector of the people. When the queen’s life is in danger, the king has no choice but to enter the forest despite the warning. What happens next comes at a heavy cost and becomes part of the legend that surrounds Devanchal.
Centuries later, the story shifts to Rishi whose family has deep roots in the village. His wife Mamta, played by Tamannaah Bhatia, wants to visit Devanchal for Chhath Puja. Rishi, however has other plans and would rather head to Goa. Things change when his elder brother played by Annup Sonii, asks him to come to the village because of a land-related matter.
Rishi eventually travels to Devanchal with Mamta. Once there, he learns more about the village’s long-standing belief surrounding the forest and the danger of entering it after dark. Rishi initially dismisses the warnings as nothing more than an old superstition.

The Vvaan is currently running in theatres but there is already plenty of curiosity around its OTT release date. The film’s digital rights has been confirmed but the makers and streaming platform have not announced an official streaming date yet.
